About Me
I am a licensed Clinical and Consulting psychologist in the Rockridge District of Oakland, California and am licensed by the Board of Psychology of the State of California to practice as a clinical psychologist and have over 30 years of experience in the field. My approach to therapy and consultation is collaborative and multifaceted.
I began my education journey at the University of California at Santa Cruz, majoring in both Women’s Studies and Psychology, and graduated with honors. I then attended the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California, and received an MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology. My training and theoretical orientation are in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychology, with an emphasis on a modern relational model informed by a feminist/ intersectional lens. In my early career, I did extensive work and research on Women’s Issues, Addictions, and Eating disorders/body image and consulted with the Tang Center at UC Berkeley and the Mills College Counseling Center, as well as local public and private schools in the Bay Area. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of individual adults, adolescents, couples, and families and also provide consultation to parents of adolescents and adult offspring in need.
In my free time, I enjoy writing, cooking, hiking, endless beach walks, the ocean and the slopes. I have lived most of my life up and down the majestic California Coast and am still discovering the hidden gems of the Bay Area.
